Portable Restroom Sacramento

Portable Restroom Sacramento is a locally owned rental and pumping company working out of a yard on 16th Street and covering the Sacramento Valley from Roseville down to Galt and out west to Davis. We do one thing and we do it every day: put working bathrooms where there is no plumbing, keep them clean, and take them away when the job is finished.

How Long We Have Been Doing This

We have been running units and pump trucks around the Sacramento region since 2012. That covers the tail end of the construction downturn, the long build-out that followed it, a pandemic that made handwashing provision a front-page subject, and whatever the market is doing now. What has changed over that time is the mix — far more restroom trailers, far more accessible units, far more sinks than anybody rented a decade ago. What has not changed is the part that decides whether a customer stays with us, which is whether the truck turns up on the day we said it would.

The Story Behind The Company

The company started because of a job site where the units were serviced late, then serviced badly, then not at all, and nobody at the rental company could say why. The answer, when it eventually came out, was that the pumping had been subcontracted to somebody with too many routes and not enough trucks. That is a fixable problem and almost nobody at the low end of this market fixes it, because trucks and spare stock are expensive and neither of them shows up in a quote. We bought the trucks first and built the rental business around them, which is backwards from how most of our competitors started and is the reason our service day is a day rather than a hope.

The People On The Trucks

Our drivers are employees rather than contractors, they run the same routes week after week, and they know which gate codes have changed, which streets in Citrus Heights a truck cannot get down, and which sites need boards under the feet from November onwards. That continuity is worth more than it sounds. A driver who has serviced a site for four months notices that a unit has been moved, that the crew has grown, or that the access route is about to be fenced off — and tells somebody before it becomes a missed service. The office side is small enough that when you call, you get somebody who knows your site rather than a ticket number.

The Equipment We Run

We keep our own fleet rather than sourcing per job, which is what makes the swap-out policy possible. That covers standard and deluxe portable restrooms, job-site fleets for construction restrooms on monthly rates, two through ten stall restroom trailers with heating and air conditioning, high-finish luxury portable restrooms for weddings and corporate events, wedding restrooms with attendants and day-before delivery, wheelchair-accessible ADA portable restrooms, and two-station and heated handwashing stations. Holding the whole range in one yard is what stops a change of plan on your side turning into a sourcing problem on ours, and it is why renting a portable toilet in the Sacramento Valley is a single phone call here rather than three.

Why We Like The Work

It is not a glamorous business and that is part of the appeal. The job is either done or it is not: the unit is there or it is not, it is clean or it is not, the invoice matches the quote or it does not. There is no room for a story. Being the reason a crew of twenty can work a full day without leaving the site, or the reason nobody at a wedding thinks about the restrooms even once, is a perfectly good way to spend a career. It also puts us on a lot of sites across the valley, which is how we know what actually works.
