Portable Restroom Sacramento rents, delivers and services portable restrooms wherever there is no plumbing — a framing crew on a bare lot in Elk Grove, a wedding at a vineyard outside Clarksburg, a farm crew near Galt, a warehouse turnaround in West Sacramento. We run our own pump trucks and our own drivers on a fixed weekly route, rather than a promise to come when we can.
The core of it is standard portable restrooms, by the day for an event or by the month for a site, pumped and restocked weekly, with a handwashing station on the same delivery where the crew needs somewhere to wash. Job sites run differently enough to have their own page: construction restrooms are priced monthly with counts set by headcount, and on public work an ADA portable restroom is part of the requirement rather than an upgrade.

Nearly every complaint in this industry is about one of two things, and neither of them is the unit. Either the delivery did not happen on the day it was promised, or the unit was not actually cleaned when somebody said it had been. Both are operational failures rather than equipment failures, and both come down to whether the company has enough trucks, enough drivers and enough spare stock to absorb a bad week without it landing on the customer. That is where we have spent the money, and it is why our service day is a fixed weekday rather than a range.

What We Are Trying To Do Here
The goal is unglamorous and specific: be the company a contractor or a planner can stop thinking about. That means the units arrive on the day we said, they are clean on the day after they were serviced, the count is right for the crew that is actually on site, and the invoice matches the quote with no collection charge appearing at the end. It also means telling people when they are about to buy the wrong thing — that a luxury trailer is oversized for eighty guests, that a bank of standard units would serve a job better than the trailer they asked about, that the site cannot physically take what they have in mind. We would rather do one job properly for a builder or a venue and get the next twenty than win a booking on a number we knew was optimistic.
Why The Company Matters More Than The Unit
Portable restrooms are close to a commodity. Any two suppliers in this region are renting broadly similar equipment, which means the entire difference between a good rental and a bad one sits in the operation behind it — and none of that is visible in a quote. It becomes visible about three weeks in. These are the failures we get called in to replace somebody over, and every one of them is avoidable at the booking stage:
- A company that subcontracts its pumping. When the servicing belongs to somebody else, your service day belongs to their route, and nobody at the company you hired can actually tell you when the truck is coming.
- A count set from a floor plan rather than a headcount. One unit per ten workers is the standard for a reason. Ordering against the average crew instead of the peak means a shortfall exactly in the busiest week of the job.
- A unit placed where the truck can reach it rather than where the crew is. It passes as a delivery and fails as a rental, because a unit two hundred feet from the work does not get used and does get complained about.
- A quote with the pickup left out. Every unit has to come off the site eventually, and a rate that excluded the collection was never the real price. Ask what the final invoice looks like before you book.
- No spare stock. A company with nothing in the yard cannot swap a damaged unit, so it cleans around the damage and hopes. On a six-month job that is exactly what you end up with.
- Weekly service that is weekly on paper only. The honest test is not the schedule, it is whether the unit is clean on the Monday after. A supplier who cannot hold that in July will not hold it in any other month either.

What Portable Restroom Rental Costs
Standard units typically run $75 to $300 a day for short-term event rentals, with weekly and monthly rates well below the daily equivalent. Restroom trailers are quoted per event or per month, and handwashing stations are the cheapest thing on the list. What moves any of those:
- Unit type. A standard porta potty is the cheapest thing we rent. A deluxe unit is a step up, an accessible unit is larger and more expensive again, and a trailer is a different category entirely.
- How long you keep it. An event day rate and a monthly construction rate are not comparable numbers. Past a few weeks the monthly rate works out to a fraction of the daily equivalent, because delivery and pickup are spread across the term.
- How many units. Job-site counts follow the crew at roughly one per ten workers; event counts follow guest numbers and duration. This is usually the biggest single line on a quote.
- Service frequency. Weekly pumping, cleaning and restocking is inside the standard rate. Twice-weekly service through a Sacramento July costs less than most people assume and is worth it on any site with a real headcount.
- Delivery distance. Delivery and pickup are included across our service area. Sites well outside it carry a distance charge, quoted up front rather than added to the final invoice.
- Access and ground conditions. A firm surface the truck can reach is straightforward. Soft basin ground in winter, long carries, locked gates and placements that need boards all add labor to an otherwise identical delivery.

Is there a minimum rental period?
Most companies require a minimum of one day for events and one month for construction sites, and we are the same. There is no contract beyond that and no notice period — when the job or the event is finished, you call and we collect.
Are delivery and pickup included in the price?
Delivery and pickup are typically included within the service area. Additional fees may apply for locations outside the standard range, and we tell you about those when we quote rather than adding them to the final invoice.
How often are the units cleaned and serviced?
For long-term rentals, units are serviced once per week — pumped, cleaned, restocked. More frequent servicing is available upon request, and through a Sacramento July and August we usually recommend it on any site with a real headcount.
What does servicing include?
Waste pump-out, interior cleaning and sanitizing, restocking toilet paper, and refilling hand sanitizer. We also check the door latch, the vent stack and, on a flushing unit, the foot pump — the parts that quietly fail between visits if nobody looks at them.
What happens if a unit gets damaged during my rental?
Renters are typically responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Ask about damage waiver options when you book; on a long construction rental it is usually worth having. Heavy ordinary use is not damage — we mean a unit that has been tipped over or vandalized.
Where should I place the portable restroom?
On a flat, level surface with clear access for delivery trucks. Keep units at least 25 feet from food service areas and within reasonable walking distance for guests. On a job site, place them through the work areas rather than all together at the gate.
How much space is needed for delivery?
A standard unit needs roughly a 4×4 ft footprint. Delivery trucks need at least 10 ft of clearance width and overhead access. A restroom trailer needs considerably more — a wide gate, a clear tow route and a turning area — which is why we check the route before confirming a date.
Can you deliver to any location?
We deliver to most locations including private property, construction sites, parks, and event venues. Some locations may require permits. We cover Sacramento County plus Placer, Yolo and northern San Joaquin — call and ask about yours, the answer is usually yes.
Do you offer ADA-compliant units?
Yes — ADA-accessible units are larger with ramps, grab bars, and extra interior space for wheelchair access. Many events and job sites are legally required to provide them. They also need a firm level surface and a step-free approach, which is the part that most often gets overlooked.
Are portable restrooms available for winter/cold weather events?
Yes. Units can be winterized with antifreeze solutions, and some luxury trailers include heating. On a January morning in the valley a heated trailer is a very different experience from a standard unit, and it is worth the difference if guests are involved.
Do you provide restrooms for construction sites?
Yes — OSHA requires 1 unit per 10 workers on job sites, serviced at least weekly. We set the count against your peak crew rather than your current one, place the units through the work areas, and move them forward as the trades move down the job.
