Citrus Heights · Portable Restroom Rentals
Established Streets And Infill Work
Citrus Heights is a built-out city, and almost everything we deliver here goes onto a lot that already has a house or a building on it. That makes the work different from the tract jobs south and west of us. There is no open pad to put a unit on, no wide graded access and usually no obvious spot that suits both the crew and the neighbors. Placement is the whole conversation, and it is why we would rather look at a site than take an address over the phone and hope.
The volume work is remodels, re-roofs, panel upgrades, whole-house rewires and the steady flow of ADU builds that the state legislation has produced. On a rewire or a panel job the house loses its own bathroom for a period, and a unit in the driveway is the difference between the trades staying on site and the trades disappearing for twenty minutes at a time. Those are short construction restroom rentals, often a couple of weeks, and the thing that matters most is that the drop happens on the day it was promised because the whole schedule is built around it.
The Sunrise Boulevard corridor and the long-running Sunrise Mall redevelopment question generate the commercial side. Retail and tenant-improvement work in an operating centre comes with the usual rules: out of sight of the customer entrance, serviced outside trading hours, and placed where the landlord agrees rather than where it is convenient. We do enough of that work around the corridor to know which centres care about which of those.
Citrus Heights gets the full valley summer without much of the delta breeze, and July and August are hard on any unit that is not on a proper service schedule. Weekly is the baseline for a construction rental and it is genuinely enough for a small crew, but on anything with a real headcount through the hot months we will suggest twice a week rather than wait for the call. Crews here almost always add a hand wash station once the temperature climbs, and on a driveway job it is the single cheapest thing you can add to keep a homeowner happy.
A lot of Citrus Heights streets are narrow, with parking on both sides and mature trees over the road. That is a routing constraint for a service truck, not a rental one, but it decides where a unit can actually go. We know which streets we can get a truck down and which ones need the unit at the end of the driveway instead of behind the gate. If your street is one of the tight ones, we would rather place the unit somewhere we can reliably reach it every week than somewhere ideal that we can only reach half the time.
For anything at the curb or in the right-of-way the city needs an encroachment permit, and private-property placements need nothing at all. Most of our work here sits on a driveway or behind a fence, which keeps the paperwork simple. Where a job does need a wheelchair-accessible unit — a public project, a commercial site, an event — that is a bigger footprint and a level approach, so it is worth raising before the concrete goes down.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to rent a portable restroom?
Costs vary by unit type, rental duration, and delivery distance. Standard units typically start at $75–$300/day for short-term rentals, with weekly and monthly rates available. A construction site on a monthly rate works out at a fraction of the event-day price. Call 916-619-1714 for a free estimate on your site rather than a range.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Most companies require a minimum of one day for events and one month for construction sites, and we are the same. There is no contract beyond that and no notice period — when the job or the event is finished, you call and we collect.
Are delivery and pickup included in the price?
Delivery and pickup are typically included within the service area. Additional fees may apply for locations outside the standard range, and we tell you about those when we quote rather than adding them to the final invoice.
How often are the units cleaned and serviced?
For long-term rentals, units are serviced once per week — pumped, cleaned, restocked. More frequent servicing is available upon request, and through a Sacramento July and August we usually recommend it on any site with a real headcount.
What does servicing include?
Waste pump-out, interior cleaning and sanitizing, restocking toilet paper, and refilling hand sanitizer. We also check the door latch, the vent stack and, on a flushing unit, the foot pump — the parts that quietly fail between visits if nobody looks at them.
What happens if a unit gets damaged during my rental?
Renters are typically responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Ask about damage waiver options when you book; on a long construction rental it is usually worth having. Heavy ordinary use is not damage — we mean a unit that has been tipped over or vandalized.
Where should I place the portable restroom?
On a flat, level surface with clear access for delivery trucks. Keep units at least 25 feet from food service areas and within reasonable walking distance for guests. On a job site, place them through the work areas rather than all together at the gate.
How much space is needed for delivery?
A standard unit needs roughly a 4×4 ft footprint. Delivery trucks need at least 10 ft of clearance width and overhead access. A restroom trailer needs considerably more — a wide gate, a clear tow route and a turning area — which is why we check the route before confirming a date.
Can you deliver to any location?
We deliver to most locations including private property, construction sites, parks, and event venues. Some locations may require permits. We cover Sacramento County plus Placer, Yolo and northern San Joaquin — call and ask about yours, the answer is usually yes.
Do you offer ADA-compliant units?
Yes — ADA-accessible units are larger with ramps, grab bars, and extra interior space for wheelchair access. Many events and job sites are legally required to provide them. They also need a firm level surface and a step-free approach, which is the part that most often gets overlooked.
Are portable restrooms available for winter/cold weather events?
Yes. Units can be winterized with antifreeze solutions, and some luxury trailers include heating. On a January morning in the valley a heated trailer is a very different experience from a standard unit, and it is worth the difference if guests are involved.
Do you provide restrooms for construction sites?
Yes — OSHA requires 1 unit per 10 workers on job sites, serviced at least weekly. We set the count against your peak crew rather than your current one, place the units through the work areas, and move them forward as the trades move down the job.
